Webinar Highlight: Launch of IY1 Law Programme at UBIC

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of our International Year One (IY1) Law programme, which was recently introduced via a Zoom webinar attended by over 250 agents. College Director Kevin Dunkerley and Charles Wild from the Law School at the University of Bradford delivered an insightful presentation that explored the programme’s key selling points, detailed information about the university, and the unique advantages of the IY1 Law pathway.

Their comprehensive discussion highlighted the significant academic and professional benefits for prospective students, demonstrating how the IY1 Law pathway can serve as a solid foundation for a successful legal career.

The IY1 program at the University of Bradford International College (UBIC) offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the foundational principles of law. International students complete their first year of LLB Law studies at UBIC, before progressing to the second year at the School of Law, Faculty of Management, Law, and Social Sciences (FoMLSS) at the University of Bradford. The IY1 Law pathway is tailored to provide support, enhance English language skills, and align subject-specific modules with the LLB curriculum.

Progression Degree to University of Bradford: Law LLB

Career Options: Explore various career pathways in the legal field, ranging from roles in law firms and government agencies to positions in non-profit organizations and corporate legal departments. Detailed information about the program can be found here.

Entry Requirements: Same as other IY1 courses.

Scholarship: Global Scholars Award available.

Intake: September 2024.
