We are excited to announce the launch of our Pre-Arrival FAQ, designed to provide a smooth, stress-free onboarding process for students from the CAS stage to their arrival in the UK. This factsheet is a powerful tool to assist students with all the crucial pre-arrival steps, including visa applications, fee payments, IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge), BRP (Biometric Residence Permit), and more.
Why was this Factsheet Created? Through constant feedback and experience, we recognized the need for a clear, comprehensive resource that simplifies the pre-arrival process for students. The Pre-Arrival Factsheet ensures that important steps are not missed, helping students avoid common issues such as visa delays, financial miscalculations, and missing documents.
As a trusted agent, you play a pivotal role in guiding students through this process. The factsheet serves as an extension of your support, allowing you to provide students with clear and concise information that is easy to understand and follow. With this resource, you can streamline your communication, reduce student anxiety, and ensure timely visa and fee preparations.
The factsheet’s primary goal is to ensure that every student is fully prepared and aware of each stage in their journey to the UK. By offering timelines, document checklists, financial planning advice, and visa application guidance, the factsheet enables students to stay ahead of their requirements and avoid unnecessary delays or complications.
What Does it Include?
- Visa application timeline and guidance
- Detailed financial planning (living expenses, IHS and maintenance funds)

We know that information has been shared recently that living expenses are expected to increase from January 25 onwards. We are working with all our university partners to determine what that means for students joining our January 25 intakes and beyond and we will send an updated communication in due course on this. From January 25 onwards there will be a new version of the factsheet- we will share with you too, with the updated living costs included, so be sure to look out for this!
